The Indo Pacific Military Health Exchange (IPMHE) formerly known as Asia Pacific Military Health Exchange (APMHE) has its origins in the Asia Pacific Military Medicine Conference (APMMC), which was first held in 1990.

The IPMHE is co-hosted by the Armed Forces of a country in the Asia-Pacific region together with the United States Indo-Pacific Command (US INDOPACOM). During the course of the event medical professionals from countries and international organisations participate and discuss regional/ global health issues.

The conference covers host of Military Medicine matters spanning a wide range from Humanitarian Assistance and Disaster Relief, gender equality, health security, emerging infectious diseases, advances in field of casualty management and future of military medicine in training.

The goals of this combined event are to share scientific information and discuss issues and concerns of military medical significance. The IPMHE focuses on the entire military health team, including dental, nursing, allied health, veterinary and administrative attendees from 30-40 nations in the Indo-Pacific region, representing ground, air and naval forces.
