Salutations and Greetings from the hosts & co-hosts of IPMHE 2021-22

Pursuant to our 'Save the Date' mail dated 03 Apr 2021, the Armed Forces Medical Services, India, Office of DGAFMS and the US Indo - Pacific Command, Office of the Command Surgeon proudly announce, the Indo Pacific Military Health Exchange 2021-22 (IPMHE 2021-22) scheduled to be held from 07-10 March 2022 at New Delhi.

On behalf of AFMS & USINDOPACOM Organizing and Scientific Committees of IPMHE 2021-22, we request and encourage participation of member countries of the region during this in-person Conference (if the travel restrictions permit ) in a post pandemic era with some new normals. We are also amenable for the conference being Hybrid (mix of online and offline) depending on the turn the pandemic takes and how the situation emerges. IPMHE 2021-22 offers an academic feast with range of plenary and breakout sessions with an overarching theme 'Military Healthcare in a VUCA (Volatile, Uncertain, Complex and Ambiguous) World. The agenda includes educational and informative sessions for physicians, dentists, nurses, public health professionals, veterinarians and medical administrators. We invite and call upon you to submit your abstracts for the various presentations on topics as listed below. The conference will also include a leadership engagement track that will allow senior leaders to discuss important topics/agenda.

Abstracts are to be sent for oral presentations to be delivered at the conference and also for e-posters to be displayed during the entire duration of the conference. All abstracts for IPMHE 2021-22 are to be of 300 words and must be submitted electronically at email Id

A number of prizes for the oral and poster presentations will be awarded during the Conference.

It is said that' A dream will not become an innovation if there is no realization'. Therefore in addition to the talks by experts in various fields on the chosen topics there will be sessions on Artificial intelligence (AI) and Innovations to make some dreams come true and the young minds will get a chance to display their innovative talent in front of a global audience. The best innovation as adjudged by a panel of judges will be suitably awarded during the Conference.

  1. Applicants must find the appropriate Track and Breakout Session to submit their abstract(s).Topics outside the scope of above sessions may not be considered for acceptance. The final decision will be made by the Scientific Committee. The deadline for abstract submission is 15 December 2021. Acceptance notices will be sent out to all successful applicants starting 1 January, 2022.
  2. Submit your abstract through this email id
  3. Abstract must be written in either British English or American English, but language usage must be consistent throughout the abstract.
  4. Must not exceed 300 words (excluding title, author (s), & affiliations)
  5. The font theme and size of abstract should be Arial 12
  6. No references to be cited
  7. No acronyms please
  • Abstracts are to be sent for selection of award papers to be presented during the Conference.
  • Further request submission for e- posters separately.
  • Selected posters will be displayed at the conference venue.


  1. An E-Poster is a visual display of the scientific abstract accepted for the conference.
  2. E-Posters will have equal importance as oral presentation. They will be displayed throughout the meeting.


  1. The E-Poster will be displayed on a standard 42" (Diagonal) LCD
  2. File format should be Power Point (PPT)
  3. Total size of the presentation should not exceed 10-20 MB
  4. Maximum number of slides per E-Poster: 2 (including title slide)
  5. All slides should be in landscape format
  6. Animation/Movie/Sound will not be supported; please submit in a static PPT format only


  1. The E-Poster needs to be created as per format only.
  2. Each slide title should be placed in a title place holder.
  3. The text should include Introduction, Case description, Investigation, Discussion, Take Home message.
  4. The poster should be self-explanatory. Text should be brief and well organized
  5. It is suggested that font size of the text should be at least 32 point. The typeface chosen should be a simple and clear one (e.g Helvetica)
  6. The correct font size depend greatly on the fonts used in the ppt and the thumb rule should be that if it is visible well on the computer screen it shall be visible on the E-Poster Display Screen.
  7. Colour Suggestions:
    1. When using light backgrounds (white, yellow, light blue) we suggest using dark fonts (Black, Navy blue, dark green)
    2. When using dark background (blue, black) we suggest using light fonts (white, yellow,)
    3. Avoid using red and green in any fonts or backgrounds as they are colours that are difficult to read
  8. Illustrations/ image/ photography used in the E-Poster should be enlarged enough to show relevant details
